How Poor Food Intake Increases Belly Fat

Food is not only important for our biological growth but also affects our emotional and social interactions. Unfortunately, the real meaning of food has got lost in the present rat-race which we term as ‘life’. This super-fast lifestyle is taking a huge toll on people’s health and most of them do not realize it until it is too late. A vibrant health is what everyone should have but how many of us actually possess it?

In this ‘instant’ age food is the prime casualty. Work, home, social pressures all combine to make healthy eating habits seem difficult and that ugly roll of fat around the stomach is proof of it. Here, we will try and show how poor food intakes increases belly fat.

Who doesn’t want to look good? It’s human nature to want to look attractive. People spend money on gyms, on fad dieting just so that they can possess an enviable figure… Besides looking ugly, fat on the abdomen is a sure sign of a host of diseases which just may attack you making this fat extremely injurious to health. Nature designed the human body so that it would store fat as energy reserves but along with a leap in technology(cutting our work into half), came increased inactivity and poor dietary habits and this contributed to fat getting accumulated on the abdomen.

Poor food intakes increases belly fat because poor quality, high in calories food stimulates the increase of fat cells and creates new fat cells. A diet high in sodium and fat and sugar adds to the abdominal fat. People now are so pressed for time that they take short-cuts for food and have now substituted good old home cooking with ready-to-eat food packages. Fast food is poor food, no matter what the companies do to advertise their products as healthy. Junk food contains high levels of fat, sugar and salt. It is popular because it is easy to buy, needs no preparation and is convenient to eat and it also increases your waistline.

Studies have shown how poor food intakes increases belly fat because eating less fibrous and nutritious food results in poor elimination which in turn, causes bloating and distention of the stomach. You will not be able to get rid of that belly fat without taking a good look at what you are putting in there. If you treat your stomach as a trash can and insist on dumping nutrition-deficient food in it, it will take its toll on you.

People don’t realize that no matter how much exercise they do, poor food intakes increases belly fat and they should guard against it. Whenever we are too emotionally charged, we tend to eat more and most of the time; we reach out for that packet of chips or that chocolate cake. In our stressed out mentality we don’t realize the impact of these high-fat saturated foods and thus our poor food intakes increases belly fat. Food high in proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals is essential for a balanced diet. These food groups give the right amount of nutrition needed by the body.

Many times people make the mistake of dieting very rigorously in the hope that they will slim down and they remain hungry for long periods. But, this makes the body go into the ‘starvation’ mode, it decreases the metabolism and fat cells break down less and this is another instance of how poor food intakes increases belly fat.

Thus, the right kinds of food choices are very important for radiant health and an enviable figure!

Can You Really Lose That Belly Fat?

Alan Tan asked:

We are all troubled by certain problem areas, even those of us who are not overweight. If your have been trying to lose your belly fat for sometime, you might be disappointed. There are many product offerings on the market, from creams and applications to gadgets and machines that promises to get rid of that belly fat.

You really have to ask yourself, can you really lose just your belly fat? Sadly the answer is NO. Attempts to do so will not only fail, it is not healthy as well. While you can lose that belly fat, there is really no miracle cure here.

Why Can’t I Spot Reduce?

The market is largely mislead to believe the benefits that these so-called revolutionary products can provide when in actual fact the results are nothing revolutionary, if any at all.

1. You Are What You Eat

Diet is an important element to get rid of the undesirable body fats. The foods that you eat have calories and cholesterols that get stored in your body, probably manifesting as belly fats. Our diet is the main culprit for presence of fats.

Pinning all that false hopes on those gadgets in the market, while indulging yourself in fudge cakes, fried chicken and fast foods will only lead to utter disappointment.

2. Targeted Fat Loss is a Myth

It is not wise to believe what those people say about the miracle results of spot reduction. The products you see on the market require that you merely attach or apply them on the problem areas. What about your other body parts? What about the other requirements of the body?

In any fat loss endeavor, you must understand your body. You should be clear about what it takes to achieve your goal. For example, if you want that six-packs abs, you have to know what it takes to get them.

A lot of people are claiming that if you wan to lose your belly fat, you simply concentrate on abdominal exercises or use the gadgets targeted at your abdominals. Do be reminded again that you cannot spot reduce. You will not achieve your goals by simply doing that one abdominal exercise.

So what can you do to lose that belly fat? Before you even target those belly fats, you will have to reduce your overall body fats first. Doing 500 crunches will only exhaust you but will do nothing to get rid of your belly fats. You body simply do not burn just your belly fats. Complete workouts will have to be done to address this, fats are burn in sequence and not just in one area.

At this point, the only way you can only get rid of belly fats and get some body mass is to have a healthy diet and do cardio exercises.

Only after surpassing the diet and cardio requirements can you focus on the abdominal exercises. This is the only proper time to really focus on working out to lose that belly fat.

3. There Are No Shortcuts

Miracle diets, pills and potions are just shortcuts that will lead you to a dead end. If a losing your belly fat is your aim, you have to work for it. You have to earn it.

We are living in a fast changing world in terms of the advancement of technology, but our bodies are still very much natural. Thus you will still have to be grounded to what is naturally required by the body, healthy diet, regular exercise and time to develop that desirable state.

4. Health and Fitness Require Commitment

Your dedication to the health of your body is a lifelong commitment. Even if you achieved a great body now, it will not remain so forever if you abuse on your diet and lifestyle. It needs to be constantly loved and cared for.

That is why if you only depend on the spot reduction claims, it will really bring you nowhere. You can only hope, but you really cannot expect any favorable results. So if you aim to lose your belly fats; get an exercise program for yourself and make the necessary changes in your diet. Commit yourself to your own holistic development. Improve not only the body, but your outlook in life as well.

Do It the Proper Way.

With all these points raised, the conclusion is to simply get healthy the proper way. The saying still holds true. No pain, no gain. So do not be a victim of the misleading information and empty promises thrown upon you. You have to know the proper options. Take the matter into your own hands to start enjoying the benefits of a healthy body.

Lose Belly Fat – Step-by-Step Guide

K. Purdenn asked:

Any weight-loss or self-improvement program is easier said and read about than done. Especially for those who consider their tummies as the bane of their existence, it is doubly hard to lose belly fat. So for those who are almost giving up, here’s a simplified, step-by-step guide to saying goodbye to belly fat!

Step 1: There’s no other way to start but exercise!

Exercising doesn’t mean sweating it out in a major way. If you want to lose belly fat and keep your waist trim, you will need to start an exercise program that is moderate in intensity-and decide to do it daily. If you are living a sedentary lifestyle, though, you will need a higher-intensity program to compensate. The idea is to start losing weight as soon as you can.

Also, recent studies have shown that incorporating strength training with your exercise program can also help you bust that belly. But this may be a bit more complicated and may have serious health and physical repercussions. Consult with your doctor or fitness trainer first for expert tips on the best way to do this.

Step 2: Spot and burn.

There are conflicting views about whether or not spot exercises can help trim your tummy. Here’s the real deal: exercises that are especially targeted on the tummy can help firm up the abdominal muscles, burn the visceral fat beneath them, and get you a tummy that’s flatter than ever. Here are three simple exercises to start with:

1. To spot-burn deeper abdominal muscles, get down on all fours with your belly hanging down. Inhale deeply, and then exhale. As you let your breath out, slowly draw your tummy inward until your spine curls up. Your wait should feel tightened up as you do this. Repeat the process for ten times.

2. To target the lower abdominal muscles, assume a supine lying position. Bend your knees. Next, tilt your pelvic by straining your abdominal muscles while slightly lifting your pelvis up. Hold this position for five to ten seconds and repeat the process for five times. You should be able to do ten to twenty repetitions.

3. Another effective lower abdomen exercise is the pelvic lift. You can do this by lying down with your back against the floor, as in the pelvic tilt. While keeping your hands on your side, bend your knees, bringing it up to your chest. Slowly lift your pelvis from the floor until your knees are pointing straight up. The strain should be on your lower abdomen all throughout. Hold this position for five to ten minutes, and then repeat five times. Try completing ten to twenty repetitions.

Step 3: Eat healthy.

Belly fat deposits are generally products of an unhealthy diet and lifestyle. If you want to be serious about getting rid of unwanted tummy bulges, complement your workout with healthy eating habits. Be wary of what you’re eating. Avoid saturated fats and simple carbohydrates, commonly found in starchy foods like bread and pasta, and load up on polyunsaturated fats and complex carbohydrates instead. When in doubt, read the nutritional information on food labels.

Easy-To-Do Belly Fat Loss Tips

Mike Darwin asked:

Many among us dream of having firm and good-looking abs so we seek for belly fat loss tips all over the Internet. All we have to do is to follow the tips according to which fit their case. The following are some of the things that could help you achieve your goal.

1. Set a regular exercise pattern.

Cardio exercises or aerobics could help you burn fats easily if you do it for at least 30 to 45 minutes in every session. However, doing it under time will make it less effective because your glycogen supply decreases as you work out more. Not only that, the more exercise routines you do, the better strength and endurance you build.

2. Ensure good eating habits.

Getting rid of your belly fat does not mean starving yourself. As you do tip number one, executing cardio exercises makes your body lose energy as well. So having a good and healthy diet is a plus. Your nutrition and workout must be equally proportioned. You have to bear in mind that even if you have the perfect workout program but you take in a lot of calories, all of these will still go to your belly!

3. Breakfast starts your day right.

After a long night of sleep leaving you with an empty stomach, you definitely need something to wake you up and jumpstart your day. A heavenly breakfast is just right for you to get the right energy you need for your workout. One more thing, you would not do your workout successfully if you feel lazy, sluggish, or lifeless so you better not skip breakfast!

4. Salt is definitely out.

Salt actually absorbs water fast and more water in your body means more belly fat. Choose food and snacks that are low or even zero in salt. Not only could you avoid having a flabby belly, you also avoid having urinary tract infection.

If you have been fat ever since, do not lose hope. Although it is a little difficult than those who are not really fat, a good self-disciplined attitude in following these belly fat loss tips will bring you success.
