Body functioning is compromised by the loss of too much water. Water, which is the main need for the body’s life-supporting functions, is the number one nutrient. The body loses water through sweat, and exhaling leads to loss of water via vapor. Both routes have a purpose during physical exercise and dehydration then becomes a problem.
